Blackpool Vs Man City Review

Man City were Entertained by Blackpool at Bloomfield road in a game which saw the Richest club in the premier league against the poorest club in the league(Mismatch?).But forget about that stats as Blackpool couldn't be taken lightly following a couple of Giant of killing acts in the league already.

Ian Holloway could only watch from the stands as he was Serving a one match ban.But that didn't influence him in the line up as he named the same side that produce that Giant killing act at Anfield two weeks ago while 7 one of them played in last Season's championship league play off

City on the other hand gave first starts to Defender Wayne Bridge and Striker Emmanuel Adebayor their first league start in the season. While Interestingly, the brothers of Yaya and Kolo Were rested and they weren't even on the bench. With Mancini Already masterminded them to three straight wins and it seem it was going to be fourth anyway against the new boys of the league.

And Man City almost got the first goal of the match early in the game as Blackpool failed to content Adam Johnson from having the space to blast the ball but luckily for them it went just wide. After that,I don't know what hit them but Man City were then second best in the Half as Blackpool suddenly were controlling possession and they did threaten soon enough as good passing and build up set up Varney but the angle was against him As his cross at the face of goal was not abled to to get to Dj Campbell in time before the keeper easily dispposed it...Some positive football showed by the Seasiders.

That were the only real chances from the first half. And all plans didn't seem to be going for Man City as only 40% of Possession were under them the rest were Under Blackpool.Another giant killing act i suppose?..And Blackpool had the first greatest of chances in the start of the second half as Varney used his sterring pace to beat his marker and send in a delightful tap into the feet of Campbell who only had the keeper to beat and with all the time he still couldn't finish off as it went wide past the post.Fair play to the keeper though who spread his body well. That look like the biggest chance they had of the match but that seem to spur them on as Eardley this time was given so much space and decided to released a grounder at goal from the Edge of the box,he almost had it as the keeper saw it late but still managed to get to it.

Dj Campbell soon was left to rue his miss opportunity earlier in the game as Tevez from the run of play scored in a way that looked like the replication of Drogba scoring against Arsenal two weeks back in the 67th minute. It was the 4th Straight game Tevez had scored for City,
City have come alive since the goal and James Milner almost doubles the lead with a chipped finish over Matt Gilks, but the ball slammed on the crossbar!

But finally After all that possesion they had,Blackpool finally had their Reward with Harewood heading the ball into the end via a cross from Varney in the 78th minute. But the happiness was only short lived as seconds after that goal,Tevez sprung through the defence and knicks the ball away and his shot from just inside the box is deflected past a stranded Matt Gilks.Blackpool fans are devastated while Man city would be happy as not only their back in the lead but Tevez is top of the scoring tally chart!

With Blackpool giving all they got,Man City broke their hearts once again with Silva who changed the game tremendously for City since brought on scored a decent solo goal as he skipped past two before curling it to the far post in the 90th minute.

Blackpool didn't give up as a corner kick slid into the path of Varney who blasted the ball at goal onto the the sticking foot of Gary taylor Fletcher for a 3-2 scoreline. It was just a consolation as it was to late to do anything.

Anyway we got to feel sorry for Blackpool who dominated the game but City just had the quality because of the tons of money and i feel they are just ruining the game. Why not just buy the whole league and they can do whatever they want!..Fair play to Blackpool! You did great! Another great game to prove doubters that this is indeed the 'beautiful game'
