Liverpool Fc Vs Blackburn Rovers Review

The words "Liverpool Football Club" are in the center of a pennant, with flames either side. The words "You'll Never Walk Alone" adorn the top of the emblem in a green design, "EST 1892" is at the bottom. VS Blackburn Rovers.svg

It was the start of the New Era for Troubled Liverpool as New England Sports Venture bought them up to finally end all worries about the club's well being. There even representatives from the new owners to watch them Against The Rovers side.It was a strong side for Liverpool so there were some optimism in the squad to end their barren run as well it was a first for Jonjo Shelvey as he was named on the bench.Torres would be hoping to end this run without a goal while Joe Cole would love to end this game with either a goal or assist. While it was bad news For Blackburn though as they lost both centreback pairings Samba and Nelsen Through Suspension and Injuries.Well one could have been bad but both is really pure pity for the Team. While David Dunn started for the first time in 2 months.

So could Liverpool finally end their Run which brought ton's of concern?.Well early into the game,We saw abit of magic of what we normally expect by Liverpool as A short interchange between Maxi And Torres was brilliantly cut back cross to Joe cole Who's shot was as equally brilliantly saved by the keeper and Raul Merieles just missing his shot on target to put them ahead. It would have been in for sure as the keeper was outplace.hmm,Great start for the New energized team. They continued to play that attractive football which built up to a corner later and from that corner Liverpool's Strong man Krigakos Almost scored no thanks to Robinson once again.

And At the other end,Blackburn had a chance to score but the cross easily dealt by Reina and well from there the counter Attack started. It was a 4 against 3 with Gerrard to Lucas then To Meireles then back to Gerrard who release a stinging Shot at goal but once again the same Conclusion..Keeper bringing out a great stop.A few minutes later,Liverpool were still at their stunning best and from another corner this time it was send out of the box but Meireles sent in a driving traveling ball back at goal but it was deflected away by Salgado..This was the first match i really enjoyed seeing Liverpool play. The football they were playing were off the hook!...you feel me? :P..But it ended 0:0 at half time but no need to frustrated there Roy cause his team had been doing well,It was the keeper that was playing probably to win back his England's spot.He also had an astading ovation from the kops fans during the interval

In the Second half,Liverpool again were playing that type of style which would even make Chelsea worry. And 2 minutes into second half,Torres won a corner..Gerrard sent in a great cross and Kriakos once again was there but this time it ended in the back of the net of the deflection of a blackburn player but it was going in anyway.I think it was poor marking from Jones as he totally lost his marker. It was The defender's Second goal of the season first one being on the same field against Blackpool.Roy didn't look happy but i knew he was..Who doesn't?

But their happiness was only short lived for just a mere three minutes as Pedersen passed it into the edge of the Area to Benjani and he did well to Dart to the byline and crossed it Into Diouf in the middle of the box where he did well to slide it in but the defence did well to clear it of the line first and back in by Carragher to Break hearts of Liverpool fans once again in the 52nd minute.

The goal spree did not end there and just two minutes later Liverpool were back in front. After his corner was headed back towards him, Gerrard laid the ball back to Cole. He lobbed a lovely cross to the far post where the flat-footed Blackburn defence was caught out by the predatory instincts of Torres - who finished with a simple side-foot from 7 yards. Torres’ form has been constantly criticized this season but he showed his class to appear at where it matters the most to get back liverpool's lead

But like The first half where Liverpool couldn't get in the first goal...Blackburn just couldn't do enough to muster up an equalizing goal As the home team again continued to pass around and making the Blackburn opposition to catch their dust. Not everyday i can type like that but it looked like their Run of making chances look limited already .

Blackburn were just so disappointing till Allardyce had the bravery to put in 2o year old Holliet for a more Known Dunn. But it didn't really make any difference as Blackburn lack of attacking cost them as they did have a great chance though in some time in the match when Olsson evaded the defence at the left side and put in a great cross but no one was there and it went harmlessly wide.

They did improved though for the last ten minutes, for a moment it looked as if a few of their trademark long balls might cause a few nerves to creep in to Liverpool. However, Rovers could not muster enough pressure to worry Liverpool and it was the home side that ended the stronger team. Liverpool could have gotten a penalty themselves too but Phil Dowd turned down the claim by Krgiakos. But it was good to see Shelvey coming on for the last few minutes though.

In the last few minutes,It was clearly seen that Liverpool were nervous but we can't blame them after what they have gone through but anyway they manage to end the game as Worthy winners to win themselves valuable three points
.After three goals in the space of 6 minutes at the beginning of the second half. Roy Hodgson can sleep a little easier tonight, it's finished Liverpool 2 v 1 Blackburn.
