Arsenal Vs Bolton Review

Emirates Stadium

It was a match that made Saw a pretty good amount of 'bad tackles'.With a sending off which i still don't understand and a goals galore by Arsenal(Something that we haven't seen for awhile).Pat on the back for Bolton for making some opportunities for themselves too! But it was well done for Arsenal who controlled approximately 85% of Possession?.So yeah,It didn't end disappointing! A so much different Arsenal side considered in the other games!having defeated one the premier league's most hated teams would certainly be a great determination booster! After the international break, how will the jet-lagged Gunners and Bolton fare? Let's take a look through the review below
!

Arsenal placed kind of a new look side with Gibbs and Eboue Finally getting their shot in the first team and not busy warming up the bench in replacement of Clichy and Sagna who i guessed Wenger was resting or he didn't want to look like his a 'nationalist'?with an all french back line.It was also a debut for Sebastian Squallaci at the back together with Another new signing Laurent Koscheilky.Arsenal played 5 man in the midfield with Wilshire And Fabregas who impressed alot after compared to his first two games on Saturday.Song as usual being deployed as some defensive cover. While Rosicky and Arshavin deployed as Wingers.Chamakh being the only striker up front And the much criticize Almunia being at goal.

For Bolton,They had Zat Knight and Gary cahill who just made his first England Cap against Bulgaria! And Paul Robinson together with Stiensson controlling the wing back area!.Unlike Arsenal,Bolton named a 4-4-2 side with Former Arsenal Midfielder Fabrice Muamba and New Signing Martin Petrov were in the middle.Korean Lee Chung Yong and American Stuart Holden adding some width in the wings.Johan Elmander And Kevin Davies Added the firepower up front! And goalkeeper Adam Bogdan making his first appearance as A Bolton Player in replacement of Suspended Keeper Jussi Jasskelainen.

The game started with Bolton Surprising controlling the game at the start...But only for 4 minutes! It was then Rosicky in the middle slid a perfect pass through the field to split the defence and let off Arshavin who seemed to be the striker of the team! But with only the Keeper to beat,He squandered it with a poor strike but hands up to the keeper who did well to open up his body to make the save for a corner,That was only the first of the Russian many chances!.Second corner of the game and It was Squallaci turn to try at goal for the first time in his English Career but it went just wide.It was then a quite balance game with both teams not threatening each other goals. But 11th minute,Rosicky had a chance outside of the box but didn't connect well to see it fly up into the crowd. It was then Finally Bolton's one of very little chance when a free kick by Petrov to Zat Knight was nicely volleyed back to Kevin Davies but Almunia saved it easily but it was forced to stretch thought.

In the 17th minute Kevin Davies who was booed most of the game for his roughness finally was the first to get a yellow card for a rough challenge! Finally the first tie Breaker Of the game was at hand as Fabregas crossed in a corner for a 4th time but nobody really got to it,Song managed to keep it in and passed to Wilshire who was also out of the box.The teenager showed his Technical skill with a great cross to Fabregas who was at the blind side of the defence at the far post who later tapped the ball cross goal for Koschielky in what seem to be not the prettiest of goals but who cares? It was the first goal for the Defender for Arsenal in his 2nd game for the club in the 24th minute! Arsenal 1-0 Up!
Arsenal vs Bolton Player Ratings
A minute later,It seems like Arsenal were pumped up and again the Influential Fabregas slid a good ball to Arshavin but was indeed offside(That was the second chance).Somewhere around a minute or two later,This time Arshavin assisted the ball to Fabregas who showed great strength to shake off his marker but his finishing was not as good as his run.In the 29th minute,Arsenal went on the break again and this time Chamakh made a good turn at the byline to keep the ball from going out and also same time shaking of Paul Robinson and a neat grounder into the box was well dummied by Wilshire to set up for Rosicky but not typical of him as he side footed the shot and at the end it was rather an easy save to say although the keeper had to parry it away.
And again in the 31st minute it was time for Arshavin to get another shot of goal,Fabregas again with a neat turn in the midfield to make space for himself to make a pin point superb pass to Arshavin but A great tackle Steinsson was able to put him off and it went harmlessly wide(3rd chance).

Finally with Arsenal with all the Chances,It was Bolton who finally got into the limelight! A great up field by the Keeper,Which was headed on By Davies deeper into the Arsenal's Defence and Koschielky of all places misheaded it further into Defence And the On rushing Korean Lee Chung Yong Got to it and went around the keeper but was pushed to far wide. But great recovery by the Young man to read Bolton's Attacking players and a sweet cross into the box got contact on the head of Johan Elmander to continue his great scoring record this season of three goals! 1-1 in the 44th Minute to Take the game to a tie in the first half! But wait! Just before the final whistle,Arsenal had another chance with gibbs giving a good ball to Fabregas but it was in a to tight angle for him to shot in the box and when harmlessly into the keeper's hand.
Arsenal match preview: Arsene Wenger
It started off, with the real chance in the 51st minute going to Arsenal,Fabregas another good ball to Arshavin but again OFFSIDE(4th time)..Arsenal were doing well to split the defence but the offside rule wasn't going to justice for them that day! After Stenisson being the second player to get a yellow card in the game and Arshavin offside again for the 4th or 5th time,Bolton you can say kinda played 'beautiful Football' as Davies Did well with to keep the ball from going out by lobbing it to Petrov then a pass into the box for Elmander who i don't how he did it but chipped the ball to the Korean Starlet who crossed the ball cross goal for Holden But great stop by the keeper but indeed offside again! Where was the Arsenal Defence? Only they can answer themselves!

But from the Counter Attack,Great vision by Cesc Fabregas to find Chamakh who was open and not Offside,But he kind of lost his bearings and shot was brilliantly saved by the keeper.Could have been a better shot if was more compose. But never mind,It was still another corner.Number what? I don't know! To many to remember haha! First corner didn't go well, and it went out for a second straight corner,This time they played a short one with a pass to Arshavin outside of the box.He played a good ball to Fabregas who took the corner at The byline in what ast first seemed to be going out but Fabregas did well to get it and send a dipping cross to an already split Bolton's defence and Chamakh known for his prowess in the air showed it with a strong header pass the keeper! To make it 2-1 for Arsenal! Were back in it boys! in the 58th Minute. But a minute later,There were some Drama as Bolton's Defender was straightly sent off for a wild challenge On Chamakh.Bolton were furious as a few seconds earlier Lee chung Yong was brought down at the edge of the area and referee said play on And Arsenal should be be upset too as Referee should have played it on before showing the card but i still don't believe that was a straight red card.I've seen many of this tackles not even being carded. But after seeing it again,Can't blame the referee cause it was a two footed challenge off the ground!

So 10 Men Against 11,So Bolton Were forced to Take of Petrov For O'Biren to Strengthen their already depleted Defence..seems to me like a technical change.Anyway,in what that had to be a red card was somewhere in the 70th minute when Diaby was widly tackled by Robinson on the ankle and could have broken his leg,And nope.Diaby wasn't happy and almost got into a fight with him if not for The other players.A Minute later he was off maybe due to a injury sustain and he just came on for Wilshire,What a shame! But no fear as Denilson came on for him in the 71st minute of the game.72th minute, the inspiring Fabregas made a shot on goal himself but just wide!In the 75th minute,Some more controversy as Bogdan appeared to have picked up a back pass. But he was lucky as the referee didn't see it.77th Minute,Rosicky with all the time again shoots it wide thanks to a great pass by Arsahvin! But A Minute later,Arsenal Made it three goals As a great play between Song,To Fabregas who made a through ball to Arshavin..Waited for support And slid the ball to Song who Touched the ball pass Zak Knight And chipped the ball above the keeper for a good goal and not only that but he made a milestone for himself as he scored the 1000th goal under Arsene Wenger!(Of all people haha)..Congrats Song!

Not long after, after some subs made by Bolton And Arsenal to increase their attacking options. Before they could work out on the new fresh legs.It was the Arsenal Sub Carlos Vela who got into his game first as in the 81st minute Fabregas once again Assisted in what seem to be 3 assisted goals for him in the match played a wonderful splitting ball again this time To Carlos Vela who was alone with the keeper and kept cool to slide around the keeper to score his first goal of the season very much earlier then Last Season.4-1 For Arsenal..GAME OVER!

But Arsenal As usual,Didn't want to quite..Fabregas again on the 83rd Minute tried to find the far post but missed..He should really score as he deserves it!...In the 90th Minute,Finally Arshavin can finally make all his work pay off But yet AGAIN! he was stopped by the Assistant's flag!(Another player who deserved to Score)..Well that was the last chance! WELL DONE ARSENAL!
gunnersbolton
In conclusion,Fabregas was on fire! Looks like his back in his game! And Almunia made some decent saves himself To shut the critics up abit.Chamakh did well at least to show some presence! And new Signing Squallaci showed his qualities he has at the back to especially when the time of the game he did superbly to recover from his own mistake against two players... Well Alright the whole Arsenal ROCKED! For Bolton,Another Disappointing Day but Their Korean Player,Elmander And Steinsson did show some qualities themselves! So yeah Bolton are not badly made of! But For Arsenal to have Diaby injured On Saturday would definite dent their squad chances in their First Champions league during the mid week
