Aston Villa Vs Man Utd Review

A crest with a claret border, light blue background and yellow lion rampant facing to the left with a small star slightly above an outstretched leg. AVFC is atop the lion in claret writing with "Prepared" written underneath. VSThe words "Manchester" and "United" surround a pennant featuring a ship in full sail and a devil holding a trident.
Man Utd may have had a 4 points gap between the summit of the table coming into weekend but they will be quite disappointed not to be on top with Even they are the only team left Undefeated as a string of Poor Results and late goals conceded certainly isn't on the agenda and today's game ending with a victory would do wonders. But it won't be Easy as Gerard Houllier who was once a rival of Alex Fergusan looks to have the secret Formula as he defeated them a good amount of 5 times back with the Kops.

Aston Villa made a couple of changes that Defeated a so called 'Weakened' Blackpool side in Midweek with a first start for 21 year old Jonathan Hogg to once again show that Houllier still has an eye on the future of a team. And finally a fit first team striker comes back with Gabriel Agbolohor coming back to replace Emergency Striker Nathan Delfuonueso.United only had one change with Scholes Suspended,Hernandez came on to deputies Berbatov at the striking department. After Having a moment of Silence to Respect the Civilians and Army who sacrifice during war(That Explains The red Roses on every team's jersey). The game got on away.

And United being United,They Attacked first with a mistake by collins which led the ball To Carrick in which led United to a swift Counter Attack,Carrick to Hernandez And A Brilliant Offside beating Trap pass by the mexican opened up Berbatov but he was just wasteful. It seemed like Man Utd were going to Dominante the game,But Sadly i was wrong as that was the only real attack of the first Half for the Devils.

And Aston Villa Chances didn't come to long as Ashley Young led their first Attack with A weak Volley which Van Der Sar saw the whole way.And from there United were Back Foot with Downing shot next just coming of wide by a deflection,I was Impress With Bannan especially as he played quite well,A scot Future for him.The best chance of the game had to come when A counter attack led to Downing who Send a sweet cross into the box and Nobody Was Marking Albrington but his header just when agonizedly wide.Should have been a goal!.

United seem like they were battling against Champions while they were the underdogs and Aston Villa almost Broke the Deadlock again as the impressing Downing again sent in a measured cross but Collins did everything right but a great save by the woodwork denied him a goal. And just a minute later,The Villa's attacked Again with Young Disposed off Gabriel charged into the box with the ball just laying there to unleash a shot which i don't think the keeper would have saved but Once again the Post came to the rescue,I think the post deserves the man of the match! And Downing's follow up was wide.

Villa deserved to get on the score sheet and not getting it would be just cruel and the pressure and prayers finally paid off As a good fed ball into Ashley Young gave the defenders no chance but to bring him down and Brown was the unlucky one as he was booked.Young Step up and Scored comfortably to finally get the goal they deserved.Utd just didn't seem to be themselves and i think it's something to do with the lack of speed as Utd just couldn't catch up with the younger man.

And just 4 minutes after the penalty on the 76th Minute,Another Slack play by United brought another Counter Attack for Aston Villa and once again the Crossing Expert sent a brilliant Peach of a cross into the Box where the on running Albrighton finally got his goal.Looks like Houllier's formula still works.10 more minutes and it looked all over,Or was it?

NOT!..That goal seemed to kick something in what I Scientifically call 'The champions mentality' although i don't that's science but it has to do something with your mental so for me it's science.Anyway Utd suddenly started to press for the first time in the game and not so long in the 81st minute Sub Macheda sent a brilliant 20 metre missle into the Aston's Villa Net for some lifeline.Thumbs up to Fletcher though as his back heeled gave Macheda enough time to get his bearings right.Villa Started to Panic,Which spells as Good News For Utd and like what i said earlier.Being Champions they strode forward And A cross from the visible Nani was knocked into the net by Vidic at the far post to once again Show Why Utd have the True Credibilities as champions.Well hopefully Villa wouldn't Look down at Utd Again cause in a bling of an Eye things can change if you play Utd. ;).A great game with 4 goals in 15 minutes,I guess the Fans will go home feeling satisfied with what they paid for.
