Wondered what the red roses on the teams shirts stand for?..Well it was to show respect for the army and citizens that served the country with pride and Dignity. My very honest respect to them too :)
The week started off with the match Between Aston Villa under the guidance of Gerard Houllier who has a relatively good record against Man Utd back in the days when he coached Liverpool in which he led the Reds to 5 wins against the Powerhouses of football and what a game it turned out to be with Aston Villa amazingly even with their injury worries with Ashley Young scoring a penalty and the ever improving Albrighton who got into his physical side also got on the score sheet by getting at the end of a good play and as all seemed to be over for Man utd as they look to end their best ever Unbeaten Record to date Subsitute Federico Macheda clawed one back with a good 20 Metre shot and Nemanja Vidic ended the comeback with a great header at the far post to Snatch a great win for the villains who seem to have a habit of challenging the big four themselves this season. The game ended 2-2 and Man Utd will disappointed to not grab all three points to further their chase for 1st spot.A great debut for 21 year old Hogg as other then this youngster Villa had a good bench of youngsters who just may very well play first team football.
Man City failed once again to grab all three points even a talented side and this time it was at the expense Of Birmingham making it the second home draw in 4 days which has sent the alarms ringing again on Mancini's future.Being a club who has spend millions on talent,It just didn't seem to be as Birmingham totally matched City's advances and at the end a bore draw. The highlight of the game has to be the event when Tevez who has already scored more then half of city's goals being taken off and more frustratingly was replace by a midfield instead of a striker which is somehow the department which seems to be the most adequate sending the fans into a chorus of boos for Mancini's technical plan when Man city are in need of goals.Man city just don't seem to be showing the quality with Ben Foster not even making a single save in the first half if we don't count the one he tried but failed with Tevez being offside.Man City have to get their act together soon.
After two brilliant wins,Newcastle were sent back to earth with a 2-1 lost To Blackburn with Barton look set to be punished by the FA For punching Pedersen in the chest. But this time around the slightly improved a well deserved draw in which Caroll could have impress Cappelo more if not for his chance for an 8th goal of the season being denied Brilliantly by Mark Schwarzer which Fulham which have got to thank after the game where he actually made a difference to the scoreline with other good saves to Lovekrands shots.Magpies almost had it cruel if not for the post which Denied Moussa Dembele in the 7oth minute.Nevertheless,A good point to keep The Toons on the chase of the top teams at home which seem to be a fortress last season in the championship where they didn't even lose a single game. For Fulham,Another point away from the drop Zone.
After a disappointing lost to Bolton last week away,This time around they didn't disappoint their home fans by beating Blackburn with the same scoreline but this time in the reverse with a 4-2 win for their first win in 5 games in which both keepers at each side doing exceptionally well but Tottenham were more of a danger at the opposing goal plus with The Blackburn defence not playing to Excellence,Robinson looked like a keeper who wasn't going home happy and before even the 20th minute Bale scored in the 16th minute before Palvychenko missed a penalty but made it up with a header 4 minutes before the end of the half.Crouch added the third after poor defending and Bale ended the game with a second goal by connecting to cross by Hutton.Blackburn didn't seem to give up as they pushed forward and got two late goals Through David Dunn And Defender Gael Givet but it was all to late. That result pushed Tottenham to 7th while Blackburn who brought Newcastle down to earth last week Are in 14th spot.
West Ham once again are still looking for only their second win this season since September 25th where they defeated Tottenham. And it came to no avail as they did manage to record their third unbeaten match but just not the results in where all three games they have drawn to keep them at the Bottom of the Table against A whole new look XI By Ian Holloway who treat to quit if fine after making ten changes to the mid week lost at Aston Villa. The referee was the star of the game actually by denying two penalty claims in the first half for West Ham.Can't say it was a bad show By West Ham but it just wasn't Enough. And more cruelty hit them when Kieron Dyer had to be taken off just 18th minutes for a suspected Hamstring which he just recovered from.
Victor Moses came of the bench to once again to show his promising talent to steer Wigan to their first win in 6 games and ease the pressure for now.The Young Striker showed great Maturity to score a composed strike into the corner of the goal to Break the hearts of A very confident and strong West Brom team this season which has led them to a challenge within the top half. While For Wigan who before this just scored 9 goals in 12 games,It was more renewed confidence for them after having drawn with Liverpool On Thursday. In fact the almost made the first break through as early as the Second Minute but Ibanez did well to turn it off the line with a shot from Tom Cleverly. This result also pushed them out of the Drop zone just by a point.
Bolton look set to collect another three valuable points in this great start to the season but it didn't seem to be at the end as Wolves staged a late comeback. It was de ja vu all over again when the conceded another early goal in the mid week in the first minute when Stearmen steered it into his own net.Strikes by Elmander who has already gone pass his record of goals last goals scored with a cheeky turn to beat his two markers to score the second before Pre season signing Stuart Holden of the USA got the third to end any chance of Wolves Comeback..Or is it so?..No it wasn't As Kevin Foley and Fletcher reduced the Deficit,Wolves had a new sense of Confidence and Continued to pushed forward for the equalizing goal. But were Unable to Get back as Mouyokolo had the last of bench chances to head it in but it just went wide to Mccartney's furiousness.Wolves although had won some plaudits with the style of play they have but the inability to find the net enough and Late goals has been a real problem with recently last minute goals against giants Arsenal And Man Utd has kept them at the bottom which i don't think they actually deserve to be in.
Liverpool another team that was brought back down to earth against Wigan Mid week after a sensational winning run especially against Liverpool were once again dented a big blow in confidence when they Lost to Stoke. It was the first lost in 6 games for the Reds as they seem to be shell shocked by the fast energetic pace set by stoke and the trademark throw of Delap didn't make it any nicer and it was before time they conceded but they did well until the 55th minute where Fuller opened the scoring,Liverpool tried to come back but they just didn't match Stoke and Pulis's side wrapped it up with a 90th minute goal from Jones off a mistake by Gerrard to shatter Liverpool and Lucas Sending off just concluded a disappointing week.

The last Two games were played On Sunday and it Featured the Giants Arsenal who look to claw back into contention after some Slip ups while Chelsea look to come back after their lost To Liverpool last Week.
First Game Featured Arsenal against Everton who have a good run of 7 unbeaten Matches at home to a gunners side who have been really good On their trips. And A decisive Goal by Surprisingly Sagna and Captain Fabregas ended Everton Good Run.Everton were clearly second best in which a period where they only had 15% of the ball. But as usual Arsenal Failed to have the killer Instincts as they stepped back into defensive and only some great saves from Fabianski and the Defences kept Everton at Bay till the 88th minute when Cahill got at the end of a cut back from Saha via a corner to push the Gunners into defence for the last 4 agonizing mins as Arsenal were constantly pressured by Everton but Arsenal prevailed 2:1 to put them up to second place.
Goals from Nedum Onuoha, Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck gave Sunderland a deserved 3-0 victory over Barclays Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It was Chelsea's
first home defeat since March and their first at the hands of Sunderland since 2001.The visitors stunned Carlo Ancelotti's side on the stroke of half-time when Onuoha dribbled his way through the home defence to score.Gyan added the second just after half-time and Welbeck seized on a poor backpass by Ashley Cole in the 87th minute to hand Chelsea their second defeat in three matches.Chelsea went into the fixture hoping to stretch their lead at the top of the table to five points but they never looked likely of wining this encounter. The Wearsiders made a solid start and warned Chelsea inside the opening few minutes.Midfielder Lee Cattermole cleverly intercepted an intended pass from Branislav Ivanovic and played the ball out to Gyan on the left. The Sunderland striker, who scored the equaliser in their 1-1 against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, sent his shot just wide of the far post.Chelsea, who beat Sunderland 7-2 last season, were struggling to make headway against Steve Bruce's side.Chelsea's new defensive partnership of Paulo Ferriera and Ivanovic, forced upon them by injuries to captain John Terry and Alex, struggled to cope with the movement of Gyan and Welbeck. It was a bad day for Chelsea who lost in the stadium which were considered a fortress and suddenly crumbling in what is the worst lost at home since 2003
