With only a sad record of 1 win in 9 games,Fulham don't seem to be adapting to Hughes tactics and bring 0ut that amazing form that took them to the Europa league Final before losing out to Atletico Madrid.With Wigan recovering ever so quickly from the form the started with this season.Fulham have to spring a surprise of form or continue their teetering Placing over the relegation zone.Good news though for them As the Returning of Influential Davies and Murphy back from Injury will be a good boost for Hughes's man.Whereas Wigan will start life without promising talent James Mccartney who suffered a bad knock.
And Davies return almost made an impact with the first real chance of the game in the 9th minute when his cross into the far post was headed on by Hangeland but it flew over the bar.He should have done better as he was unmarked by the Wigan Defence.Martinez was hoping his side would do better themselves as they were clearly being outplayed.
Hughes had a striking department headache as Top marksmen Booby Zamora and Andy Johnson both still out.And so he opted Attacking Midfielder Clint Dempsey to partner New Signing Moussa Dembele and it was paid of fruitfully when A great cross By Salcido at the left was powerful headed in by the American midfielder on the hour mark and was quick to thank Salcido in his celebration.
Pumped up by that goal,Fulham took even greater steps at the Wigan goal and Once again Dempsey and Salcido were at thick of things when Gera had an open goal at his mercy at only 2 yards but failed to finish it off when it's was easier to score with 2 minutes to the interval.Not dented by that chance gone,They continued to push the Wigan's Resistence and just a minute later a powering Forward Biard Cross it in and Dempsey made the goal ever so special to make it his 6th goal of the season and this time he celebrated with the wing back from the right.
Hughes Didn't show any joy in his face,But in the second half Fulham didn't really care as they made it rather comfortable for themselves as Wigan didn't seem to responding and Salcido almost scored an outrageous goal when his supposing cross went goal bound but just over the bar and onto the net.
Wigan had no chance of coming back against this Confident Side but Mohamad though enough was enough when he took on the whole defence but it was to much for him as his shot when aimlessly wide to sum up Wigan's day.
Just before the end,Fulham didn't seem to stop their Assault on the already battered Wigan side and Gera almost scored with a long range block by the keeper and The rebound By Dembele but block by Gary Caldwell just in time for a corner to sum up the day and recoding Fulham's Second win in 10 games.Hughes said Fulham can break into the top 10,Well let's hope his right.With the effort the put in today,That wouldn't be a problem.Good news for USA to as Clint was on fire today!
