Fifth Round
Ipswich Town were the lowest ranked remaining side left in the competition, and the sole remaining representative of the Championship in the Fifth Round draw and we will see if that stays against Premier league side West Brom which will be the one of the last two matches of the fitth round tomorrow the other one is between Birmingham And Aston Villa, which took place on 30 October 2010.The first two games of 4 were played yesterday while the other two games Between Ispwich Vs West Brom and Aston Villa Vs Birmingham will be played today. And already the first set of games already caused a surprise,I really expected Man Utd and Arsenal to battle out but a sign of luck for Arsenal as West Ham trashed the Champions to make it easier for the gunners to end their 5 years without a trophy. Now Arsenal gotta do is win the two games and play 'consistently'....

WEDNESDAY 1st December 2010
Well with Arsenal and West ham through to the semi Finals yesterday, the other two teams to join them were decided today where the only team not from the Premier League Ispwich under the guidance of talented Sven Goran Ericsson and boasted by a few signings against West Brom who you can say technically are flying the league now and the other match was a derby match between West Brom and Aston Villa...
I can't really comment on the the Ispwich and West Brom match because to be honest i didn't really see but I did see the Birmingham Derby though and gosh it was exciting, especially the managers who I think were more excited then crowd with all their hand signals flying as if they are calling for SOS And even Webb had to come them down(Probably that's their way of warming themselves)...While the rest in the stands froze to death(I don't know, they were not moving) especially Stuart Pearce...The players battled it out with some aggressiveness and urgency and just 12 minutes into the game Birmingham got brought down after some infringement in the box and up step Larsson confidently to score to send their home fans to raptures. Not long after though,Aston Villa hit back with Gabriel Agbonlahor who Fascinated me because he doesn't only have pace but had the strength to out muscle his marker to shoot in the low right corner of the net.
And as the day went by with more an more snow falling and spectators having their butts frozen and Managers finding all method to keep themselves warm...Birmingham gave the hardest blow when Zigic got to the end of a low cross under the pressure of a marker to slot it home although it looked to have deflected off his marker and scooped over the rising Friedel to once again send the fans to raptures and that celebration seemed to take a toll of him as he looked tired after that(Didn't they all?)...With more injuries being sustained by the players(Weak links)..It was a relieve for both managers probably even for the losing company to go home without to having to play another half an hour of longer if there's no breakthrough.Well it was great win for them As Zigic fourth goal for them was enough to get the adulation of the fans at the end of the game in this chilly night(You should have seen the matches in Switzerland and Poland!)...Anyway congrats to Birmingham and also Ispwich for keeping the record of being the only championship team left in the competition
