Fulham Vs Man City Review 21/11/10

Man City visited Craven Cottage in a real pressured mood with 2 straight goalless draws with the latest being against Birmingham last week in where the whole team failed to Shine literally. And What a way to break the jinx against a side which is currently Managed by Former Manager Mark Hughes. So a Team made up of an average 500 Million dollars and a team which is slightly over 20 million battling out...Fair?...Well there's no rule to having a super duper Expensive team so that was what i was going to watch On Saturday haha.

Fulham were getting good news though to ease some of the pressure by welcoming back Wing back Carlos Salcido and Chris Baird who has been out for 2 games. Those two Wing backs have the skills to cause great problems at the flanks and their accompany couldn't come at a better time. But we can't forget the broken foot of Bobby Zamora though as his injury will sorely hurt the Striking Department Although you can Say Clint Dempsey is doing pretty well in that Section but they certainly need a new Striker.City on the other hand didn't have Lescott and Michael Richards and Ballotelli still Suspended.Hmm why Am i even noting this down?...They still got a whole lot of World class backup in the team!..But it was good to See Brazilian Youngster Jo being handed his first start though in 2 years after tons of games being overlooked by Mancini. And what an honor For him to play with Top marksmen Carlos Tevez.

Oh yeah i almost forgot to note this down but Maradona was a surprise Attendee for the match probably to give Mancini some fright as a dose of a cheap trill perhaps?..Haha anyway it was a great time for the Argentinians like Tevez and Zabaleta to shine(But it doesn't matter cause he isn't the Argentinian coach anymore)..But gosh his wife or Girlfriend looks a girl in her teens(Naughty Diego!)...But for the job perhaps i don't think Maradona will be getting it sooner as Mancini i Think played a super tactical game especially by putting two strikers up front from the normal lone striker. That did wonders of a player of Tevez Quality as Jo managed to take some of the attention away from him and being A player of such mobility,Speed and Agility you will need a whole lot of players looking after him and sadly Fulham couldn't and Well Sadly again Man City infiltrated on that. What i liked about Mancini style of play was also the style which was more to the Counter attacking replica against A Fulham Defence not known for Speed

And it was as early as the Six Minutes the Defence had the taste of Tevez when he shook of His Marker and took his chance well. And from there you could see Man City's passing were more positive,Tevez Having more freedom up there. And it was just plain problems for the Cottagers.Fulham though did do well to come back and tidy up their defence but it was only until the 32nd minute when Zabaleta released a thunder from the edge of the box for a 2:0 lead which summed up a good Argentinan day in front of the footballing legend .All that goals in my opinion were actually Avoidable as Fulham's Inability to mark and cover up fast enough seemed to be a problem. And Just 3 minutes later,That inabilty proved again as this time Tevez again ran to the defence and sent in a delightful ball to Yaya who's Marker i think was totally Flat footed when actually that's just asking for problems and well that came to bite Him as He let Yaya at least half a yard and To be a good defender you can't let that much space. So three avoidable goals gone in.But we can't take away though City's Positive style of play which was so different Compared to last week.

The last goal for Man City was just pure class,I kept rewinding and rewinding to be honest at the part where Tevez who was at the back of the goal managed to divert the ball over the keeper. That was a goal of pure class of a player of similar Skill. And Till now i Can't find out how he did that!.Gera did managed to get a goal back but no thanks to a deflection though which helped it's way through to get at least some pride at Home.

Overall a solid victory which i expect them to bring back At the Eastlands where i realize teams often go deeper in defence which i don't really see is a problem for a team of Man City's Structure to handle,Tevez who performed superbly this week should that with the right amount of support he will deliver and his partnership with JO look great. We can't forget Silva too he made a difference himself but no thanks to another good move by Mancini to give him a free role with more Freedom to relish his potential...It looks like City are finally getting the team together...Bad news for the top 3 now then...So the moral of the story is,Always give people time to shine(Especially Mancini).
