Fulham were aiming for their First back to back victory since February hoping to end their poor run in which they won only once in 9 games before the win last week so they will he hoping their lucks have changed. But they got a chance though against An Aston Villa side that recently are having trouble finding the back of the net in which they haven't found the net in 344 Premier league minutes.Fulham got even better news when they only had one fit striker and it was in the form of inexperience 19 year old Striker Nathan Delfuoneso.
And As expected,It was Fulham that first Gave a scare to their compatriots When On form Clint Dempsey forced his Compatriot Brad Frieldel into a great Save and Zoltan Gera again couldn't find the next from the rebound to repeat his goal shy act last week.Even without any of thier first team strikers though,Villa still could afford to cause problems With Luke Young testing Mark Schwarzer with a low shot and Nathan as expected didn't have the experience to control the header as his rebound when over the bar.
Villa looked to having problems in this game with the inability to cause problems at goal but that soon all change as Marc Albrighton broke Villa's goal drought when Rising Star Barry Bannon whipped in the most neatest of crosses for Albrighton to control and superbly finished it into the net which brought a relieve smile onto Houllier's Face.A good gift for the coach as Albrighton just signed a new contract.
It seemed to be all good for Houllier's side as Fulham had problems themselves of finding the net but Trouble soon came When Andy Johnson who has been out for a long term came back to the side and caused problems literally from the time he came on forcing Friedel into two good saves.Villa look set to get some precious three points as The match when to Stoppage time but Once again this season Hangeland rised the highest to nod in a precious point for Fulham and leaving Houllier Dumbfounded.Fulham would have been happy to not make it 3 defeats in 4 games but Hughes seemed to be feeling Houllier's heartache as he didn't even show a sign of happiness at all!...Maybe cause it was a soft free kick,Friedel too wouldn't be a happy man as this was only his second goal in 4 games...Which proves that in football,Every minute counts....
